My Exhibition Design

Concept Board

Graphics

Exhibition Profile

These above are the concept board, graphics and the exhibition profile for my exhibition design. The concept is focus on futuristic, all are related to sight and technology. Everything are modern and simple style for the design.

The graphic that I apply on my exhibition design is more on black colour, so the overall exhibition are dark in colour plus some colour graphic and I also will use a world map as the plan for it. The map on the ground also create a meaning of global for the brand that I choose (Panasonic).

The exhibition profile that I choose include, Information Counter, Product Displays, Rest/Discussion Area, Testing Area and the last one is the gallery showing about the product for Panasonic.

This is the layout plan for my exhibition design.

Something Fun about Starbuck Logo

People make fun on Starbuck logo when the new logo come out on 2011 because it is getting simple. This is the photo show about the transformation of Starbucks logo and people make the logo more simple as the time goes by.

2011 Starbuck come out with a logo just only the mermaid women on the middle, they remove the frame and make the logo focus on the mermaid and it look more simple compared to the previous logo. So, people are making fun with Starbuck logo that might be come out on the future, they make the logo more focus, zoom in on the mermaid and finally come out with a empty green circle logo.

It is funny but this won't be happen on the future.

Everything in Wood

I saw these wood sculptures from the internet and likes to share about it. I likes these wood sculptures that create by the artist because it is a very great and beautiful art work. Some of them are really unique and special, everyone of them has its own meaning from its visual expression. It look classic but also modern in the same time.

Artist : Gehard Demetz

Amazing Ice Sculptures

Ice sculpting is a difficult task. The artists must work in a freezing environment while concentrating and work hard in order to archive the perfect art work.In such cold condition, they're able to carve out a lot of amazing ice sculptures but these sculptures doesn't last long. Once the winter is over, it will melt and everything will be lost. I also admire the artist because they are so passioned on their works and will do it again with different design each winter, it takes a lot of time and this is not an easy job for most people.

Some of the ice sculpture are really huge and people can go inside to feel and experience the sculpture. Imagine how much time and works they need to carve the sculptures. Their spirits and passion are the good value that we need to learn and apply on whatever we do all the time.

Murphy's Laws in Design

Another topic from the lecturer, " Murphy's laws".

Murphy's Laws - "If anything can go wrong, it will."

From the research that I do about the Murphy's Laws, it is about something bad or negative side of a particular incident will happen on you. I think when it apply on design, it is also the same and everything bad will be possible happen and it will affect the process of your work. Example from the internet about Murphy's Law's that I found out quite funny and it is true that it might be happen.

If you have 10 minutes to print some work before meeting your client, the printer will go out of ink.

When the printer goes out of ink and you are in a rush, you don’t have any cartridges to replace it.

No matter what the size of the logo is, it’s not big enough for your client.

If your WordPress theme validates, you’ll install a plugin that breaks the validation.

If you have a lot of work, a client you didn’t hear of for years will call you and be in a hurry.

If you don’t make your website work in IE6 before showing it to your client, he will be using IE6.

A way to prevent Murphy's Laws? No way, there is always a possibility that Murphy's Laws will occurs. Everyone will go through Murphy's Laws and it is definitely more than 1 time. So, have fun.
